PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Asthma is a common, chronic respiratory disease that occurs in individuals of all ages. While asthma has a significant impact across the US, the condition places a disproportionate burden on individuals in rural and underserved communities. Rural areas struggle with delayed detection of illness, misdiagnosis or late diagnosis, ineffective treatment, and inadequate referral. This case-based CME/CE activity series will review therapies for moderate-to-severe asthma and how to provide individualized treatment for patients with asthma. Strategies to improve asthma care in rural and underserved areas will also be discussed.

Develop patient-centered treatment plans that reflect the latest clinical evidence and guideline recommendations for asthma

Module 2: Advances in Treatment for Moderate-to-Severe Asthma

Identify appropriate therapy for moderate-to-severe asthma based on current guidelines and individualized patient- and disease-related factors

Module 3: Strategies for Improving Asthma Management in Rural and Underserved Communities

Discuss strategies for improving asthma care and management in rural and underserved settings, including self-management education and asthma action plans
